Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC), Debolal Gorlosa, participated in a Padyatra organised by the Dima Hasao Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haflong under the slogan “Loktantra Bachao–Arajakta Hatao” (Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy).
Sharing the update on his official Facebook page, Gorlosa stated that the rally reflected the unity, determination and fighting spirit of BJP workers and supporters. He said the Padyatra sent a strong message to opposition parties, particularly the Congress and the INDIA alliance, reaffirming the party's commitment to democratic values, constitutional principles and national integrity.
The Padyatra witnessed the participation of DHAC Chairman Shri Mohet Hojai, Dima Hasao District BJP President, MAC Shri Dhriti Thaosen, Executive Members (EMs), Members of Autonomous Council (MACs) and a large number of dedicated BJP workers and supporters.
Emphasising the importance of democracy and national unity, Gorlosa stated that the party would stand united whenever democratic values face challenges and would remain determined against forces threatening peace and stability.
The Padyatra concluded with the message: “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy! Jai Hind!”
The programme marked a political mobilisation by the Dima Hasao BJP in Haflong, bringing together council leaders, party representatives and grassroots workers under a common campaign highlighting democratic values and political unity.
